GTT API Policy

Successful integrations start with a clear understanding of requirements. Review the GTT API Policy for guidance on implementation responsibilities, technical expectations and available support resources

Key prerequisites for onboarding

Do you have API development support?
  • If so, please continue to the following question.
  • If not, you will need to assign an internal resource or work with a third-party integrator. You will need development support in place before proceeding.
Is there someone on your team who deeply understands your current ticketing or workflow processes?
  • If so, please continue to the following question.
  • If not, please identify a process owner or Subject Matter Expert (SME) or work with a third-party integrator. Please identify your process expert before proceeding. It’s critical to ensure the integration works correctly and efficiently.
Have you identified and shared your technical contacts with GTT?

We need names and emails for receiving credentials, managing system updates and handling support communications.

  • If so, please continue to the following question.
  • If not, please provide a list of your contacts as we require clear communication channels to proceed.
Is there a sandbox or test environment available for implementation?
  • If yes, you are ready for implementation planning!
  • If no but you are planning to use production, note that this approach carries risks including:
    • Increased chance of errors
    • More difficult troubleshooting
    • Potential impact to your live business operations
    • We can proceed cautiously, but strongly recommend setting up a test environment.
  • If there isn’t an environment available, please talk with us. A testing environment is required before moving forward.
